  • What information do I need to provide to make a claim?
    • Alpine requires each homeowner to have a home inspection report on file. Any issues listed on the home inspection report are pre-existing and will not be covered until or unless and invoice/report from a licensed contractor is submitted and approved by Alpine. The invoice/report needs to specify the exact issue was repaired or replaced and is now in good working condition.
  • Do I have to call Alpine first?
    • Yes, Alpine does not reimburse homeowners for ANY repairs or replacements
  • Do I get to choose the contractor?
    • No, Alpine has licensed and insured contractors.
  • Does a claim cost me?
    • Yes, every claim item has a $60 deductible. For example: If the homeowner calls in a claim on the dishwasher and the furnace at the same time, the total cost would be $120 deductible as they are separate items.
  • Is there a waiting period to make a claim?
    • Not if the system was in good working order on the inspection report and at the time of move in. However, problems caused by rust or corrosion during the first 45 days of the buyers coverage are excluded.
  • What is the claim process?
    • Call Alpine at (801)571-0344.
    • Verify name and address.
    • Customer service will be able to advise you if that item is covered under the home warranty contract.
    • Alpine sends homeowners information to the appropriate contractor. The contractor will contact the homeowner directly for appointment scheduling.
    • Homeowner pays the deductible directly to the contractor at the time of service.
  • What are common items Alpine does not cover?
    • Cosmetics such as Dishwasher Racks, Fridge Water Dispenser, Ice Maker, Knobs, Roof Shingles, Etc.
    • Freon evacuation and recovery
    • Improper installation
    • Secondary damage such as damaged sheetrock, lifting tile, mold, water damage, etc.
    • Sprinkler Systems
    • Main water line to the city supply
    • Hose bibs
    • Damage from earthquakes, fire, floods, freezing plumbing lines, hail, mold, pests, rain, tree roots, etc.
    • Anything outside the foundation of the home.
  • What does Alpine require me to do as a homeowner?
    • Proper and routine maintenance on all items. Example: Frequent filter changes, proper Freon amounts, Keep tubs & sinks sealed, Clean out debris as needed from sink and tub stoppers, Etc.
